Prepress Composition

To help insure a seamless transition from file to print, please review our file guidelines below. These should eliminate delays that sometimes occur when we try to access supplied artwork.

Acceptable File Types
PDF (Include bleeds and embed fonts)
Separated Tiffs (one file for each spot color)
Tiff (single color or 4 color process)
EPS (fonts need to be converted to outlines)
QuarkXpress, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Publisher

All documents should be one up and correctly sized, bleeds extended, process and/or spot colors properly designated. Linked with graphics, fonts and hard copy MUST be included or embedded where applicable.

Resolution should be at least 600 dpi for spot color work, 300 dpi on photos & 1200 dpi on rastered line art or type for process work. Lower resolution will result in lower quality. RGB will need to be converted to CMYK and may cause a change in color.

Be sure to keep a copy of the files you are sending us. Occasionally an error will occur when opening a file and we are not responsible for damaged files.
